A team of five designed the Remigo engine, tested it, implemented improvements. The designer Ajda Bertok came up with the final shape: "I was able to start from scratch - where else is that possible in a design? There were no specifications or models for the RemigoOne, she says.
The overriding idea of "as simple as possible" extends to all areas of the RemigoOne. Everything that is not absolutely necessary should be omitted. There is no throttle grip. "We hear a lot of comments asking about it - but as soon as people ride our motor, nobody asks." In Marko Vrtovec's opinion, the component is also a superfluous feature: "Nobody is constantly turning the throttle back and forth - you get on, set the speed and off you go," says Marko Vrtovec, Remigo's CEO.
So the RemigoOne only has buttons to set the speed on a scale from 1 to 10. An LED bar indicates the energy with which the propeller is turning and in which direction. For a quick stop, both buttons are pressed simultaneously. A magnetic switch below the control unit serves as a "killswitch". If you pull it off, the motor is also switched off. Everything is quite logical.
Slip wheels
The optional QRW (Rapid Disassembly) wheel system is part of the all-new Takacat fully removable transom. With the help of QRW, you can easily and comfortably drive your TAKACAT from your car or campsite in and out of the water without having to carry it. The QRW is simply plugged. The weight of the TAKACAT is not significantly modified by the QRW. You do not need to drill or glue to equip a TAKACAT with the QRW. The wheels can also disintegrate just as quickly. Non-slip wheels, including wheel mounts, are exclusively designed for the boat's own weight! For longer transport distances, as well as for larger engines including luggage, boat trolleys must be used, such as the "
C-TUG Double" from RAILBLAZA - RAILBLAZA products are available worldwide.
In contrast to the standard Transom made of round tubes, the Heavy-Duty Transom has square cross tubes made of 2mm thick stainless steel and is designed for higher continuous loads in rough weather conditions. The longitudinal round tubes are compatible with the fishing rod holders. The HD Transom is available for: 340LX to 420LX and 300S to 380S.
"Heavy-Duty" High Pressure Floor
The new "Heavy-Duty" high-pressure floor has, in contrast to the standard high-pressure floor, a double PVC protective layer on the upper side (2 x 1mm) and a full-surface PVC protective covering (1mm) on the underside. In combination with the all-round PVC protective covering (1mm), the HD high-pressure floor is protected against impacts on all sides, much harder in its structure and a foldable alternative to the GRP floor.
"Wave Piercer" - Speed Tube
Takacat has developed a new "Wave Piercer" speed tube that has several advantages:
- As a wave piercer, it divides the water flow between the two outside tubes, turning the Takacat into a trimaran, so to speak.
- reduces the turbulence between the hoses and reduces the ventilation at the propeller because it creates an additional keel-like flow of water to the propeller.
- lifts the boat as an additional air chamber, thus improving the planing phase, reducing water resistance and increasing the final speed.
- reduces water spray on the shaft as the boat rides higher on the water.
- improves the handling of the boat when heavily loaded due to the additional buoyancy.
- can be considered as a 4th or 6th air chamber depending on the model.
When inflated with 250mbar/3.6PSI, the "Wave Piercer" speed tube is fixed under the connecting floor to the rings of the bow fixation and to the lower transom bar at the stern.
Simply insert the rod holders fishing without modification of the hull, that is to say without screwing or gluing and without significant weight change. The rod holders are specially designed for the new open transom of Takacat inflatable structures.
The TAKACAT-BAG protects against rain, wetness and splashing water. Electronic devices should always be additionally secured in a waterproof sealable protective cover. The TAKACAT-BAG has a practical roll closure. After the closure bar has been rolled three times, it is simply clipped together. The clip closure then automatically creates a carrying handle. With the included carrying straps, the TAKACAT-BAG can also be carried on the back. The TAKACAT-BAG is available in light blue and grey. Dimensions when flat = approx. 57 x 39cm (length/width) - Effective volume with the closure bar rolled three times and 28cm diameter = approx. 30Litres.
Flat seat
Takacat's unique flat seat is optionally available for all SPORT, LX and LS models. Thanks to its flattened base and seat, it offers a stable and pleasantly relaxed sitting position.
Boat cover
The silver protective cover protects your Takacat from sun, heat and dirt. It completely surrounds the Takacat, that is to say that the boat is completely protected in every position. The Takacat cover is a lightweight basic cover for covering the boat for a short time. It cannot be used as a permanent cover, e.g. to cover a boat for a longer period of time when it is hanging on a davit or lying on deck. For such applications, a heavy duty cover must be made, e.g. from Canvas fabric.
Hydrofoil Permatrim (TM) is a very effective wing for outboard engines and Z-drives that improves the performance characteristics and handling of boats as follows:
- Elimination of ventilation problems (air shovels)
- Improvement of the water behavior of roughing
- Faster transition to the glide phase
- Larger sliding window
- Reduced fuel consumption
- Reduced luff behavior (porpoise)
Made of marine aluminum and further coated with a powder coating for maximum resistance to corrosion. Developed and produced in New Zealand. Available in 13 model lines for almost all outboard and Z engines from 8 to 300 hp - from dinghis to multihull boats.
The Permatrim (TM) hydrofoil was designed and developed 15 years ago by Maurice Ellis von Whangarei. A good product is timeless - many customers buy a new Permatrim (TM) when they switch to a new boat. Permatrim (TM) is manufactured in New Zealand and is patented in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.

As an option, the inflatable boats can also be supplied in other colors, see the color scale shown. The high pressure floor with the EVA protection layer and the flat seat are always light gray. Special colors are paying.
